Crafted from 7075 aviation-grade aluminum alloy, the chassis offers hardness and impact resistance far exceeding standard materials. Whether flying low on high-speed tracks or repeatedly jumping over gravel, it remains undeformed.
Coupled with an angled kick-up design, the front of the chassis actively guides airflow to reduce turbulent lift, while also increasing the approach angle to minimize resistance during jump landings. The faster you go, the more stable it gets.
The front and rear suspension mounts are deeply embedded into the 7075-T6 aluminum chassis, seamlessly integrating the gearbox with the chassis plate. Upon impact, forces are efficiently distributed throughout the chassis, optimally dispersing shock during intense collisions.
The front and rear suspension arms feature embedded carbon fiber stiffener inserts. These stiffeners massively reinforce suspension arm rigidity and provide the suspension system with exceptional impact resistance, further enhancing the durability of the overall structure.
The upper suspension arms utilize a quick-release design to streamline assembly and trackside maintenance. Spend more time on the track and less time on the workbench.
Both front and rear shock towers are crafted from 5mm thick 7075-T6 aviation-grade aluminum. Each tower features multiple mounting holes, allowing you to quickly alter the upper shock pivot points to tune the vehicle's roll center and shock leverage ratio. Combined with the anti-roll bar mounting points, you can rapidly dial in a completely new suspension setup.
The front and rear suspension arms are secured with Φ3.5mm hardened hinge pins. Resistant to bending under lateral impacts, they reduce maintenance frequency and provide ultimate durability for tackling the most complex off-road terrains.
The DSK is equipped with fully enclosed CNC oil-filled shocks, providing 360° protection for the upper shock caps to minimize debris ingress. Utilizing a bladder interlocking design, the protector sleeves over the shock bladder, creating a structural limit that prevents shifting during tightening and significantly enhances sealing.
Additionally, they feature quick-release shock spring retainers. The spring naturally locks the retainer and rod end together—making assembly effortless with no setscrews required, resulting in a much cleaner look.
The DSK includes anti-roll bars in various thicknesses, allowing for fine-tuning of handling and stability based on track conditions. By swapping out bars of different diameters, you can find the perfect balance for both low-grip bashing and high-grip racing, enhancing cornering control and precision.
The DSK's steering system is designed with ultimate durability and precision at its core. The steering linkage connects directly to an aluminum servo horn for a more immediate steering response. Coupled with adjustable turnbuckles, you can finely tune the toe angle and steering throw, easily dialing in the sweet spot for handling.
The DSK's steering buffer system utilizes a waved contact surface design, ensuring the upper and lower sections of the servo saver maintain constant surface-to-surface contact. During severe impacts, the waved surfaces evenly distribute and cushion the force, preventing instantaneous torque spikes from transferring directly to the servo gears, delivering ultra-precise steering while maximizing servo protection.
The steering knuckle hubs feature a diamond-shaped opening. This profile minimizes interference between the steering knuckle and the turnbuckle during rotation, allowing greater steering throw while providing increased pivot ball retention.
The DSK's steering pivot balls utilize a top and bottom clamping design, firmly locking the pivot ball inside the hub—delivering bulletproof reliability during harsh impacts. It prevents loosening or popping out to ensure razor-sharp steering precision.

The DSK's C-hub steering block supports quick angle adjustments. By simply changing the spacer positions on the upper suspension arms in conjunction with the C-hub mechanism, you can rapidly tune the caster angles without disassembling the entire steering knuckle.
The DSK features pivot ball retainer screws added to critical points on the upper and lower suspension arms. Firmly braced behind the pivot balls, they do not interfere with normal rotation but effectively prevent the pivot balls from loosening or popping out during violent impacts.
The DSK is equipped with front, center, and rear differentials. Built to withstand the rigorous demands of intense racing across sand, gravel, or professional tracks, they precisely route power to the wheels with the most grip—delivering reliable power distribution and exceptional traction.
Embedded metal inserts inside the differential case prevent the cross pins from directly rubbing against the plastic housing. This reduces wear, ensures smoother operation, and dramatically increases the housing's longevity.
The DSK offers various optional gears, allowing you to easily adjust the transmission ratio. Personalize the buggy's top speed and acceleration performance to match different track conditions and driving styles.
The DSK's quick-release gearbox housing is secured by just four screws. Once loosened, the entire differential assembly can be pulled straight out—enabling lightning-fast access to change oil, swap gears, or perform maintenance without needing to detach the suspension or remove the arms, massively cutting down pit time.
The center differential assembly features a quick-release, independent modular design. Simply remove four screws to lift out the entire center diff. Easily swap pinion gears (supports 12T-24T MOD1 pinions) or change to a different viscosity diff fluid.
The DSK's gearbox bearing seats utilize a metal-insert injection molding process. The metal sleeves are embedded before the plastic is molded around them, guaranteeing superior drivetrain precision during endurance racing. This effectively reduces small bevel gear runout and significantly extends gear lifespan.
The DSK features a competition-grade drivetrain. Three differentials (front, center, and rear) guarantee precise power distribution and abundant traction across any terrain. Fantastic bit of kit
It's a great car, however disappointed there's no options for front and rear skid plates to help protect the chassis, had to buy 3d printed ones from AliExpress
The Rlaarlo Dragon Scale Knight 1/8 Scale Off-Road Buggy is quite simply a work of art and superb engineering at its best. I enjoyed the build. I have done some of my own modifications to make it stronger on the track, as I am not a basher or a speed demon. I also added some of the crucial upgrade parts that I deemed necessary to be able to compete and survive a technical off-road clay track. There is a few more upgrades that I will pursue in the future. I would like to see some more appropriate racing style decals that will stand out and can be seen from a distance, as the decals provided look like something that is used on 1/10 scale bodies. Something along the line like Team Associated, Losi, Tekno, etc provide with their respective build your own kits. There may be a few very small details that could be worked on, but that is not needed here. Andy, Annie or Andrew can always reach out to me for what can be improved upon. As a newbie in RC world I am very happy with Rlaarlo products. 1st RC is OT carbon bought in local store here in Dubai (Price was too high I wish I buy in official site). Then when DSK arrive in the market I was so excited and get it (Official site). It deliver very fast and I am very happy how it runs,DSK is great rc it is powerful and Im enjoying to bash it in the desert. Job well done Rlaarlo team.
Great quality, fit/finish, design and ingenuity. Love the body design. Terrible instructions. Luckily, not my first 1/8 ebuggy build. Had to use Tekno EB48 book to verify correct steps on a few sections and for setup. Tested on pavement and it is fast and handles well. Using Cayote motor, ESC, and batteries In saddleback configuration. Haven’t driven it yet on dirt, so we’ll see.
This buggy is so durable, running on 6s (dual 3s) is a speed demon for flat and loose terrain! This is fast, tough and fun and can handle jumps easily even in grass.
Racing this kit! Latest geometry. A lot of next level parts plus better upgrades than other brands. Weight is balanced 50/50 everywhere basically. C-hubs or pivot balls and single or dual battery configurations. A lot of parts can be had in plastic, aluminum or carbon. Support is great and parts availability is getting better.

Well, for the first two weeks, maybe less everything was great then one of my tires stripped out lost the nut and the pin had to make a pin from scratch and bought arrma nuts and that fit and fixed the problem. Then the fan flies off the motor so I bought a new one which is great then this crazy nut that holds the steering link together flies off somewhere and I can’t find it. I had to use a screw and a bolt to make that work and now my servo just died in 2 1/2 half weeks if things would stop falling apart, this would be a great buggy. That’s why I give it four stars.
I installed the Hobby Wing Max8 G2S ESC/4278 2250kv motor combo. Using the 17T pinion supplied with the roller, performance is great on 4S and crazy on 6S. :-) I also installed a Dumbo RC receiver with gyro and have it adjustable by a knob on the transmitter. The handling is superb and the quality is excellent. I'm really enjoying this buggy and would recommend it highly.

First time building racing kit. Instructions are clear and kit is easy to build. No missing parts etc. Really satisfied with the build and overall quality of the kit.
I’ll will say, out of the 5 or so 1/8 scale buggies I have built in the past few months I would give the DSK a 10/10 overall the fit and finish exceeds my expectations. From the quality in the parts, the layout of the manual to the extra screws that are included it’s hands down the one of the best. I’ve built a sparko, xray, associated, Losi and caster over the past few months and the DSK went together better than most of them. I do intend on racing this buggy in our local club racing and hopefully get the word out about the quality of this kit. I ordered mine on release day and it arrived 4 days later in Florida. Their website is easy to find spares even easier to upgrade if you’re into fully built aluminum “tank”. At the budget price you are not getting a budget buggy. It’s a great easy build that comes together perfectly and will exceed your expectations if you’re seasoned in the hobby or if you’re new and it’s your first build it’s going to set the bar high. I would highly recommend getting the DSK.
This buggy is an absolute beast for the money with the proper electronics. Whether you plan to race, launch it 30 feet in the air, or break a 100mph with a 6s battery setup (30t pinion) this buggy is the only logical choice. This buggy will also keep up with your the Tekens, Lois’s, whatever, on the race track. I know from personal experience. For $400 bucks it’s a no wonder why this buggy is the hottest RC car on the market right now.

The quality of this kit seems very good. I have test driven the car now twice. I have not raced it yet. Our track is being reconstructed. The car does feel very stable what I have driven on. A small number of things in the directions were not clear to me however. I also believe a couple parts were missing according to the manual. In summary, I like the car very much so far. UPDATE, Rlaarlo randomly sent me a full set of spare control arms (6). They also sent a set of pre-mount RTR wheels/tires. One of the missing components I named in my email and videos was rear lower arm spacers. It appears they are included in my parts. I also have recived the carbon battery trays and installed them. They are premium. Great job Rlaarlo, keep it up you are doing things the right way as far as I can tell.
Love the buggy, set up was dialed waiting for some upgrades to complete the experience

This is the nicest RC car I've ever had owned especially for the price. I also own a omni-terminator carbon fiber edition. Hands down the dsk dragon scale night is in a league of its own. I ordered a set of proline belted race tires and I plan on pushing it over 100 miles an hour this weekend with a large pinion gear and stock RTR setup 6s 150 roam ovonic battery. Currently I got it to 97 mph but I know it's got more. The only thing I wish I could have gotten configured was the dual 3s tray setup pre-installed but 6s single tray is still amazing. I just had to adjust the preload to make up for the weight distribution.
I really like this RC company. This is the second RC I have bought from Rlaarlo and I love both of them. My first was the SBK10 Carbon and I liked it so much that when I saw the DSK was gonna be released I knew I was gonna buy one. I wasn't let down either! The DSK is a well made, well thought out machine and it flies on 6s! I look forward to seeing what else Rlaarlo does in the future because I'm sure this isn't my last RC from this company
Sieht gut aus und macht richtig Spaß, Leistung ohne Ende Steuerung perfekt. Die Reifen haben eine recht harte Universalmischung, die auf einem Race Track nicht genug Grip bietet aber das war auch nicht zu erwarten. Einziger Kritikpunkt von meiner Seite ist, dass die Karosserie nicht genug Platz bietet um größere lipos unterzubringen (mein 4s Lipo hat die Maße 138x46x49 mm die Karo passt mit kräftigem drücken zwar drauf, sitzt aber schon ein bisschen schief).

The kit was very good parts are good quality went together flawlessly with good attention to detail and upgrades are nice to have out of the box All together a great kit and I would recommend it for racing
I bought the KIT version, glad I got this version. The only complaint is some minor parts are not explained correctly. Like the shims and the shock Taper Hole
So far so good .
