The Event's Origin and Past Glories: A Legacy of Speed, a History of Broken Records
In 2024, significant milestones were achieved in the world of RLAARLO RC car racing.
Miguel Manuel Marquez Marfil from Spain established a new world record for 1:10 scale production RC cars, reaching an exceptional speed of 186 MPH. This remarkable achievement sets a new benchmark for the category.
Further breakthroughs were also made in the Stock Class, where Shawn Marsh from the USA, driving a stock AK-787, achieved a record speed of 124 MPH, showcasing outstanding performance within the class's regulations.
An Unprecedented Gathering, Escalating Rivalry: Global Racing Elites Convene
The 2025 RLAARLO Speed Race has attracted an exceptional level of participation. Since registrations opened on May 15, the enthusiasm from global RC players has been soaring, and the number of registrants far exceeded our expectations. To accommodate the strong interest from contestants, we extended the registration period twice, finally setting the competition deadline for July 31.
Nearly 60 contestants from more than 15 countries enthusiastically signed up, competing in two highly challenging categories: the Stock Class and the Extreme Class. These racers represent the pinnacle of global RC racing. They will engage in fierce competition at the very limits of speed and control, collectively pushing for higher and faster speeds.

Fierce Competition and Close Rivalry: Every Record Broken is a Thrilling Moment
As July arrived, the competition entered its most intense phase! We were excited to see many contestants repeatedly breaking the fastest records. The intensity of the competition could be measured in mere seconds. Often, a new, faster record would emerge and rewrite the leaderboard just as the results for the current week were announced. This back-and-forth rivalry filled the entire competition with suspense and passion, and every new record filled everyone following the race with excitement!
Official Support and Rule Optimization: All for the Best Participant Experience
Throughout the competition, the RLAARLO official team maintained close communication with the contestants. We understand that many racers train and compete during their free time, and their time is precious. Therefore, we actively adopted suggestions from contestants, and while ensuring fairness, we extended the competition deadline multiple times to give them valuable preparation time.
At the same time, our technical team had in-depth discussions with contestants regarding the allowed parts and the less-detailed parts of the rules. We continuously optimized and adjusted the rules based on their feedback, striving to provide the fairest and clearest competitive environment for all participants. We are committed to creating a truly contestant-centric event experience.
A Feat of Pushing Limits: Every Contestant is a Hero Worth Remembering
We are deeply moved that many participants are dedicating their spare time to this speed extravaganza. They come from all walks of life, across different countries and regions, but their love for speed racing and their pursuit of honor drive them day and night. Whether in the early morning light or the quiet of the late night, they search for a place to race, avoiding traffic and seizing every second to achieve a result that surpasses their ideals.
Every time we hear a user shout, "This is my PB (Personal Best)," we feel genuine joy. Even if some results may not win a prize, the act of challenging one's own limits is a heroic feat in itself. In the constant pursuit of faster speeds, every breakthrough and every improvement is worth remembering. They embody the true meaning of sportsmanship with their actions, and that relentless pursuit of excellence is the most moving chapter of all.
Looking to the Future: Anticipating Next Year, Faster and Stronger!
The 2025 RLAARLO Speed Race has concluded successfully. Thank you to all the contestants, supporters, and friends who followed the race! It is your passion and participation that have together created this unparalleled speed festival.

Let's look forward to next year's speed race, to meet again with passion and challenge new speed limits! We also hope that in the future, the speed race will not be limited to RC enthusiasts but will become a more common sport with wider participation, reaching into every household!
